I decided I would attend all three festivals. Although Washington DC was not the biggest festvial, I did get some great feedback from the audience.

AFI Dallas was an amazing experience. A number of stars made appearances including Robert DeNiro, Helen Hunt, Mickey Rooney, Charlize Theron and Mischa Barton. I walked the Red Carpet with Sam Rockwell and Public Enemy. The film was screened to around 400 people over two screenings and was well received. I took part in various interviews and even made it in to the Dallas Morning News! At the end of 8 days I had made some great contacts and some new fans.

The California Independent film festival followed a couple of weeks later. Stolen Youth was nominated for Best Short at this festival, which made it all the more special. Unfortunately it didn't win, though various people told me it should have. It did however make it into the Audience Choice screening, where I was able to do a Q&A that lasted nearly twenty minutes. Again a great event for networking!
